Re-election of Singapore to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council 2025

Singapore was successfully re-elected to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in the elections at the 42nd Session of the ICAO Assembly held in Montréal, Canada on 27 September 2025.
Singapore was first elected to the Council of the ICAO in 2003, at an extraordinary Assembly session convened to fill three new Council seats. Singapore was successfully re-elected at the subsequent triennial Assembly Sessions.
Re-election of Zach Ang Kok Wee (CAAS) to the ICAO Air Navigation Commission (ANC) 2025

Zach Ang Kok Wee from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) was successfully re-elected to the ICAO Air Navigation Commission (ANC) for the 2026–2028 term. The ANC is responsible for reviewing and recommending global aviation Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and air navigation procedures. Having served since 2024, Zach re-election is a confirmation of his contribution to ANC in the past years.

CAAS/Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) was recognised as an ICAO TRAINAIR Plus Training Centre of Excellence Platinum Member for the fourth consecutive year! This recognition reaffirms CAAS/SAA’s commitment to delivering world-class aviation training to support global aviation leaders and professionals. CAAS/SAA has been an active member of the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme since 2011 and has run 20 ICAO-recognised training packages. Each year, SAA trains aviation professionals from around the world, supporting ICAO’s mission to strengthen global aviation.
Singapore’s Top 300 Employers 2025 – Singapore Opportunity Index

The Singapore Opportunity Index (SOI) is a comprehensive, data-driven measure evaluating how employers support meaningful career growth and improve economic outcomes for employees. Public Sector Transformation (PST) Awards 2025 – Citizen Engagement Excellence Award: UA Safety: Consult, Create, Communicate

The PST Awards represent the Public Service's most prestigious whole-of-government accolades, recognising transformative initiatives with exceptional impact and sustainability across agencies. The Citizen Engagement Excellence Award specifically celebrates agencies that meaningfully engage citizens beyond standard outreach, achieving measurable and lasting impact. CAAS' Unmanned Aircraft (UA) Safety initiative exemplifies these high standards through comprehensive multilingual advisories, targeted youth programmes at flying areas, and strategic partnerships with retailers. This nationwide effort successfully raised public awareness, improved regulatory compliance, and strengthened public trust in UA safety, demonstrating the significant scale and sustainability required of PST award-winning initiatives.
Community Chest Awards – Charity Bronze Award 2025

The Community Chest Singapore Community Chest Bronze Award recognises organisations providing meaningful financial or corporate support to social service causes in Singapore. Presented by Community Chest, the fundraising arm of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), this award honours significant contributions that help empower vulnerable communities throughout Singapore.
